Outdoor activity schedule – Summer 2024
These are the fantastic FREE outdoor activities being provided by Adelong this summer:
- Week 1 – Climbing, Adventuring, Archery, and Bushcraft
- Week 2 – Weaseling, Ridge Scramble, Climbing, and Gorge walking
- Week 3 – Indoor climbing, Canoeing, and more Bushcraft
Each day will be 10.00am to 3.00 pm (apart from Indoor Climbing which are half day sessions)

Important Information
Each day will start at 10am and will finish at 3pm.
What to bring
All specialist equipment will be provided for activities. You will need to bring the following for each day:
- Jumper, sweatshirt or hoody
- Waterproof coat
- Lunch and plenty to drink in a suitable bottle (no fizzy drinks please)
- Suitable footwear closed toe shoes/trainers (but no Crocs or wellies please)
- Any personal medication as required
Please bring all this in a rucksack as we will be walking to some venues.
If you are participating in the Gorge Walking at Dewerstone you will also need to bring:
- Swimwear
- Pair of old shoes/old trainers to wear in the river (no Crocs, flips flops, or wellies please)
- A towel
- Pair of shorts to wear over the wetsuit
- Warm clothes for after
All participants on these days will be given a wetsuit along with appropriate safety equipment.
Food and facilities
Please bring a suitable packed lunch, and plenty of water or squash in a sports bottle (no fizzy drinks please). On some days the young people will be carrying their lunch, so please pack appropriately.
Please note that not all the activity venues have toilets or changing facilities so please take this into consideration.
Weather
Adelong are an all-weather provider and activities will run unless we have extreme weather that makes it unsafe for them to operate. We will do our best to give you as much notice as possible in the event that we need to cancel.
