Our work with young asylum seekers has won a first place award!

Huge congratulations to Sherrif, Adil and Huno, three Young Asylum Seekers living in Devon who have won a 1st-place prize at the National Voice Awards for their work to improve the Initial Health Assessment process!
The annual National Voice Awards, hosted by Coram Voice, celebrate councils and forums across the country who are making a real difference in the lives of care-experienced young people, including young asylum seekers.
Working alongside our youth participation team and the children in care nursing team, Sherrif, Adil, and Huno co-created a video that aims to ease any anxieties that new arrivals may have about health assessments. The video is available in 10 languages and is now widely shared by staff, helping asylum seekers feel informed and supported during health assessments.
