SUSU Council update from our recent online meeting!

Our SUSU Council met online earlier this month. Here is a quick summary of what we discussed and agreed.
We talked how we will run our sessions. We decided that SUSU Council members will lead on creating the agenda, and we will have a dedicated person to chair the meeting and someone to take notes. Participation workers will continue to send reminders, invite people and speakers who are requested by the SUSU council, members, booking venues and providing general support.
A “talking piece” will be considered for the March meeting to allow quieter members to speak – we want everyone’s voices to be heard! All meetings will conclude with a review of what went well, what didn’t, and any agreed actions or next steps.
We also met with Helen to talk about Life Story work. We reviewed suggestions for Life Story work booklets and talked about what would and wouldn’t be helpful to include in these booklet. We shared our views with Helen, who is working on making sure that everyone gets the chance to have Life Story work. Helen will provide a summary of what she plans to do with the information from the meeting, and we will share with you once we have received it.
