Stand Up Speak Up Council Meeting – May
4 June 2026
We had a productive SUSU Council meeting despite the heat! ☀️🤝
we discussed how our belongings are treated, and we decided that we should keep a list of things which are important to us. 🧳We hope not to move often, but this is a good way of making sure things aren’t lost.
We were also joined by Lizzie Cann who is working on a training project for the NHS. 🏥 Lizzie wants to hear our experiences in health settings and try and make people aware of some of the challenges young people who are care experienced face when accessing health services. ❤️🩹 We also spoke about Care Experienced being a protected characteristic, how to increase numbers on the Bright Spots surveys, and why retention of Social Workers and PAs. 💬
