A big well done to Katie and Jemeillia for talking to BBC Spotlight! 🤩
After our success last week convincing the Council to agree to make care-experience a protected characteristic, BBC Spotlight reached out and wanted to talk to two care-experienced people themselves to get their thoughts and feelings on the decision.
So we turned to Katie, the wonderful founder of @avocadosadvocacycic, and the amazing Jemeillia! We’re sure it will be a good one – they both have been helping us greatly from the beginning!
You can tune in to Spotlight either today or tomorrow (we’re not sure which day yet!) to hear what they had to say – it takes some guts to speak on TV, so congratulations again to Katie and Jemeillia!!
