We had another fantastic Skills to Foster session!

Last Saturday, we held another fantastic Skills to Foster session! 6 of you were joined by 7 prospective foster carers.
We kicked off the session with an important question: If you could have a conversation with any animal, which one would it be and why? 🐘🐬
After lots of meaningful discussions, sharing experiences, and learning from one another, we ended the session by enjoying our handmade pizzas… which Ella is pleased to report she didn’t burn this time! 😅🍕
💬 Young people told us they enjoy being involved in Skills to Foster because they get to share their views on foster care, have a say in the assessment of prospective foster carers, get paid for their time, and enjoy some free food too! 😋
These sessions are so important because the feedback and views shared by young people directly contribute to the foster carer assessment process and form part of the panel’s decision-making.
