Pass the Parcel project – the parcel has returned!

Last November, as part of our Pass the Parcel project, we sent off a package to other care-experienced youth groups around the South West – and now it’s coming home!

Over a year ago, some of you came up with a project idea called Pass the Parcel, where the parcel is a metaphor for moving around in care. Then, last autumn, we worked with Carina from Kooth to make the project a reality, and you filled up a parcel with your experiences and other items for other care-experienced people to add to. And the parcel has now returned!
Those of you who were involved in the Pass the Parcel project received the parcel back yesterday from its journey to other care councils. It looked a bit battered but was still in one piece! People had added to the contents – some of it connected with us, some of it didn’t. One thing we realised is that because we had invested so much time and love into the parcel, it was like our baby – but maybe other people didn’t feel the same way.
