Announcing the Council’s new Therapeutic Wellbeing Practitioners
10 October 2024
Introducing our new Therapeutic Wellbeing Practitioners!
Naomi, Sara, and Sandra are part of a new team that will help care experienced young people navigate the mental health system! They will be working closely with you and professionals in your support network to make sure that you can access the support and services that you need and when you need them.
Importantly, this service was designed specifically because care experienced young people expressed that mental health is a top priority for them. A few members of SUSU were also part of their interview panel, ensuring that young people have a say in the services that affect them!

“Hi, I’m Naomi. I’m a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist based in Devon County Council working alongside care experienced young people. I’ve worked in lots of different roles within Devon and Somerset mental health services. In my spare time, I love being in the outdoors, and you will often find me up on Dartmoor or down on Devon’s lovely beaches.”
⭐⭐⭐⭐
“My name is Sara, and I am committed to helping young people find therapeutic solutions that work for you – this means thinking about your unique identity, circumstances, and culture. I started in post in October and work across Exeter and South Devon. Outside of work, I enjoy Latin dancing and baking cakes.”

“I am Sandra, and I am passionate about supporting young people to overcome traumatic experiences so that you may develop and grow into the people you want to be. I started my role in July and have been focussing on developing the service whilst making links in Mid, East, and North Devon.”
