We spoke to Maria Price for National Democracy week

This week is National Democracy Week!

We want young people to feel confident with the idea of voting, so we interviewed Maria Price, Devon’s Director of Democratic Services, to see what advice she has for young people interested in voting and first-time voters.

In this clip, Maria gives her advice for young people who will be voting for the first time. She talks about how older people may be better represented than young people because they’re not voting as much, and how voting is such an important way to put your views forward. Voting is confusing, but the advice Maria gives is to research who’s standing and see who’s views best align to yours.
