Here’s a little look at what we got up to over the Summer!

We teamed with the Virtual School and Avocados Advocacy to create an awesome summer experience!
The Virtual School outdoor activities kicked off in beautiful and blustery North Devon. Some amazing efforts on some difficult climbs, and it stayed dry!! In day 2, we embraced the rain to make pizzas and cake over the fires we had built. On the last day we saw some really impressive climbing and had a great scramble across the top of the valley. Along with the kind of laughs that can only be had by putting googly eyes on objects that do not have faces 😂. Thank you @adelongoutdoors for bringing your expertise (and your dogs!) for another year.

The Virtual School also offered two wonderful art activities! We started by getting our creative juices flowing by drawing with a really long stick (which is a lot harder then you think!) before we made sculptures out of wire and clay. Both groups were very camera shy, but the masks and willow lanterns produced speak for themselves! That’s a wrap on the North Virtual School activities. I hope everyone had as much fun as we all did!

Avocados Advocacy provided us with 2 brilliant days of activities!
We visited Pennywell Farm! We fed goats, held piggies and got to try all the attractions there. It was a brilliant day despite smelling like a farm by the end!

Now imagine 25 care leavers at a bee farm.. now combine that strange concept with 25 care leavers in soft play! And there you have it – our crazy day with @avocadosadvocacycic !! We learnt lots about bees, made beeswax candles and found our inner child. Best day ever! Thank you Avocados!!

And last but certainly not least:
SUSU had a trip to Crealy! It was so fun to spend the day with you all – and it was even sunny!! There were so many people there today that we couldn’t take many photos but these capture a few happy moments.

And that was summer! It was great working with The Virtual School and Avocados Advocacy, we cant wait for next summer to be even more awesome!
