Get Started

We built this website with children and young people who have real lived experience of care services. We aim to help you get to the information and advice that you want and need. And to do that, we need you!

What’s important to you? How well are we at Devon County Council doing? How do you want to stay in touch with us? What do you want to see on this website? Knowing these things will help us to make sure you are getting the best possible service from us – both online and in real life.

We know that the website isn’t perfect at the moment, and we’re working to make it better. We develop and update the pages based on what you tell us you want, so have a look at what’s here and tell us what you think about it!

You can let us know by emailing participation@devon.gov.uk. Or join one of our children in care or care leavers groups, where you can have fun and also voice your opinions and ideas on the services you’ve experienced. Contact your local participation worker for more details about how you can get involved.

And remember: keeping safe when using the internet is really important! For more information on how you can stay safe, check out the Children’s Commissioner’s guide to staying safe online. If you are worried, you can always call Childline on 0800 1111, or dial 999 in an emergency when you need help right away.
