We went to the Graduating Care South West app launch event!

Last Friday, we went to the Graduating Care South West App launch event!
Gemma, our service manager for children in care and care leavers, and two care leavers – Luke and Kodey – travelled to Bristol to join the announcement of the South West regional offer app.
The conference was really fun, and allowed us to show off our local offer, and see what other local authorities had done differently to us. Afterwards, we also got to wander around our venue of ‘We The Curious’, as you can see in some of our pictures!
The GCSW app shows all the local offers across the south west in one place, and even combines them into one regional offer so that you know what support is available no matter where in the South West you are.
The app also provides a place to see what events are happening in your area, what helpful organisations you can contact if you need help, and discounts and offers available to you that weren’t highlighted in our local offer.
