We have re-launched our Stand Up Speak Up Council!
Last night, we welcomed 9 young people into the first SUSU Council meeting of 2025! Together, we decided on a few key details about these meetings going forward:
- We’ll be meeting every 4 weeks at 6 – 7:30 pm
- ️ Our in-person sessions will move around Devon so more people have the opportunity to join!
- Every other session will be online on Teams
- We will always provide some kind of food, like sandwiches or wraps.
- For the in-person meetings, we will pay for your train travel
- But we will also have a part of the meeting where you can join online for some of the discussion, even if you can’t get there.
- As a member of SUSU Council, you are expected to join at least half of our meetings each year to make sure you stay up to date with what we’re doing!
- Our next meeting will be online on 11 February, the meeting after that will then be in Newton Abbot on 11 March!
If you want to join the Stand Up Speak Up Council, you are more than welcome to talk to one of our participation workers either by emailing us at participation@devon.gov.uk or telling your Personal Advisor or Social Worker that you’re interested!
