Virtual events for care leavers

Unfortunately, due to the new lockdown restrictions, we’ve had to cancel our face-to-face sessions for care leavers this month. But don’t worry, we’ve got a range of great virtual events taking place instead.

If you’d like to join any or all of these events, please email participation@devon.gov.uk or contact your local participation worker. And remember that you can always arrange a call or meet up with your participation worker as well.

Timetable of virtual events for care leavers in November

Virtual games night

📅 13 November
🕕 6pm
People can be a bit superstitious about Friday 13th, but it could be a very lucky day for one of you. That’s right, we’re hosting a virtual games night, and the overall winner will win a £10 voucher! There’s an optional sports-themed dress code too (come along as a footballer, tennis player, surfer etc), and the best dressed participant will earn an extra ten points – which could prove crucial when the final scores are totted up!

Virtual cook along

📅 20 November
🕕 6pm
What better way to spend a lockdown Friday evening that by joining our virtual cook along on Teams? We’re going to be cooking up this great vegetarian caponata pasta dish, which packs a whopping three of your five-a-day into one delicious meal. We’ll even hand-deliver the portioned ingredients to you! If that’s not a recipe for success, we don’t know what is.

Rees Foundation focus group

📅 26 November
🕕 6pm

We will be running a focus group for care leavers about the Rees Foundation. Rees’ National Service Development Manager, Luke Chapman, will be joining us to talk about what support you want and how you can benefit from it.
