Spotlight on…

Rob Daley, who is a Devon Apprentice and a care experienced person.

Rob told us he is very happy to share his experience of being a Devon Apprentice with us as he would like other people who are or who have been in care to feel “that they can do anything in their lives regardless of what they’ve been through”.

Rob is an apprentice ranger, working out on Dartmoor. In his blog on the Devon Apprentices site he says:

“I’m the apprentice for Stover Country Park and local nature reserve, and at the Grand Western Canal in Tiverton. I have been in my apprenticeship since October and I am studying my NVQ 2 in environmental conservation at Kingston Maurward College in Dorset. I’ve really enjoyed my course so far even though I must travel up on my weekends which takes several hours as there is no direct link. I have also visited places on my course such as Corfe castle, Wareham forest and Studland heath all of which I’ve never seen before!”

You can read more here  about how Rob got to be an apprentice and also what his manager has to say! (It’s all good)
