Want to have fun, work with others and learn new skills? Well, the Virtual School and fostering team are joining forces to offer you the chance of an action-packed outdoor education experience this summer!

That’s right, during the holidays you’ve got the chance to take part in a range of activities; you could climb a cliff, light a fire from scratch or try your hand at archery. These sessions will be led by an experienced outdoor education provider, Adelong Outdoor Adventure, with DCC staff supporting.

The programme will run over four weeks throughout August. The sessions on Mondays and Tuesdays of each week will be aimed at current school years 4,5 and 6, while activities on Wednesdays and Fridays will be for current years 7,8 9 and 10.

And the best part? You won’t have to pay a penny for the activities! That’s right, the costs of the sessions themselves will be covered by the Virtual School, although transport to and from the activities is not included in this – this will be the responsibility of your carer. Lunch will be provided each day, but it is always advisable to bring snacks and plenty of water to drink.

You can find the full list of activities here.

If you would like to book a place please complete the booking form and medical consent form and send them both to kate.clarke@devon.gov.uk.

Details of exact meeting times and what to bring will be sent with confirmation of your place.

If you would like to be offered additional dates if the places are not taken up, please indicate a second preference date on the booking form. And if you have siblings in a different age group, let us know if you’d like to be together and we will try to accommodate them too – but please note that a booking form will need to be completed for each child.
