Meet Mark Riddell MBE

Mark Riddell, who advises the Government about services for care leavers visited Devon. He wanted to find out what is working well and offer help and advice about what we can further improve. As part of his visit he heard from young people about their experiences. Mark is a care leaver himself and he was the first leaving care manager whose service was rated Outstanding by Ofsted. He is a passionate advocate for care leavers.

Here is a draft report of the meeting.

Once we have heard back from people at the meeting we will finalise this and circulate to senior managers. If you are a care leaver and are reading this and would like to comment, please use the contact details shown. We have contacted everyone who came and asked for their comments too. Scroll all the way down to read our draft recommendations.
